Japanese and Chinese use the same characters.
Japanese uses modified Chinese characters - Kanji, Hiragana, Katakana
-says wiki 8)

Kanji is heavily based on Chinese symobls. They mean the same thing in both languages usually.

Months and months behind. It's random chinese.

It's not programmed in, its a bug. Type any sentence string where the first word has an even number of letters, and all the following have an odd number of letters. Same thing should happen. Not sure if it has to be four words or not, though.

Also, for those of us people using computer longer than 4 or 5 years, you'll remember that "con" can't be made into a file because its an old msdos artifact. Con = console. Having a folder with the same name as command as console (con) would have caused all kinds of problems. Its simply a vestigial appendage now, as far as I know.

And finally, the rand command generates that sentence because it displays each and every letter of the english alphabet once. This allows people concerned with how a font may appear to see it on the page. It is neither a bug nor an easter egg, but an intended function.

#1

windows stole linux ideas and on linux folders are actually files as well as devices, drives, processes etc.. They are ALL files..

con is reserved for console so you can't interact with the console (or the folder).. windows don't want you to confuse it.

haven't tried but I don't think you can create a folder or file name PRN on windows either

for #3 my Word 2007 spammed me with a 263 page of text... fkn bastard. :?
